- Polish Independence Day on November 11.
In the year 2006 we presented at the Public Library in Mahopac exhibition “General Anders Army.”
In 2008 – the exhibition “Jozef Pilsudski – Life for Poland”.
Both exhibitions prepared by the Jozef Pilsudski Institute of America were presented on the occasion of Polish Independence Day.
Parades
Club members marched in Pulaski Parade in Manhattan and in local parades: Columbus and St. Patrick parades organized in Putnam County.
Help for Kids – Christmas gifts.
Since 2006, the club organizes the annual share for the needy children in Poland. Every year before Christmas parcels are sent to orphanages or children’s hospices with the necessary things. Lists of needed items are delivered by individual institution and volunteers.
In 2010, after the disastrous floods in Poland, we sent parcels for those most in need, in partnership with the Association “Spring” from Krakow. We also raised a significant amount of money during our annual picnic.
University of the Future (Akademia Przyszłości)
In the school year 2011/2012 we joined the campaign “University of the Future” organized by the “Spring” Association in Cracow. As part of this action, we funded 20 personalized assistance for children with severe difficulties in learning. With this help, children can gain the confidence, overcome difficulties and move to the next grade.
Dinner-dance, concerts
We offer traditional dinner-dance on “St. Andrew’s Day” and “Mardi Gras” at the end of the carnival.
In January 2011, we organized in our church New Year’s Concert with the participation of young talents.
